Bogbean flowers from April to June with white star-shaped flowers, densely bearded inside, in bogs, ditches and silting-up zones. Its trifoliate leaves are reminiscent of bean foliage. It has become rare and is protected. The striking flowers are worked by bumblebees and honeybees alike.
