Dyer's Greenweed flowers in June and July with golden yellow pea flowers on poor meadows, heaths and sunny woodland edges. A yellow dye used to be obtained from it. It gives hardly any nectar; the flowers snap open when a bee lands and dust the pollen onto the bee's underside. A pollen source of poor sites.
