The Staghorn Sumac flowers in June and July with dense, upright flower spikes. It comes from North America, suckers vigorously from the roots and grows on embankments, in gardens and on fallow land. The female spikes later turn a velvety red. Bees work the flowers heavily, so in early summer it is a good minor flow in built-up areas.
