Bladder senna flowers from May to July with yellow pea-like flowers and then bears inflated, paper-thin pods. It grows on dry slopes, embankments and railway embankments. Because flowering stretches over weeks and new flowers keep coming, it is a steady, if not abundant, flow in early summer.
