Field forget-me-not flowers from April to October and provides moderate nectar with a low pollen value. It is annual and grows on arable land, along waysides and in hedges, often in small dense stands. The tiny flowers have a narrow throat, but honeybees reach them well. Because of its long flowering period it is a reliable minor flow from spring into autumn. British measurements give around 23 micrograms of sugar per flower per day, around 41,045 pollen grains per flower and a nectar yield of around 478 kilograms of sugar per hectare per year.
