Corn mint flowers from July to September on damp arable land, along ditch margins and in wet meadows. Its flowers sit in whorls in the leaf axils rather than in a terminal spike, which is how it can be recognised. It provides nectar and pollen and on waterlogged fields is often the only significant flow in late summer.
